When customers research test equipment calibration labs, accreditation, skill, customer service and added benefits are all considered. In an effort to best meet the needs of our customers, PMC Calibration recently unveiled a new, more user-friendly calibration portal.
The new calibration portal is equipped with a new interface that makes it easy for customers to find what they need, fast. After the user logs-in to the portal, they are prompted with options to easily select either current stats or service requests. From the home screen, users are also presented with an equipment calibration status snapshot – to easily view a chart indicating where in the process their equipment is.
Benefits of the New PMC Calibration Portal
In addition to the new, more user-friendly and visually enhanced interface, the portal also offers improved functionality and capabilities, including:
- Customer-based Customizable Department locations and asset management
- Track equipment in real time
- Request pickup or request service onsite
- Search by reports are easily located on the right hand tab
- Legacy search by allows varying search fields
- Downloadable certifications available for up to 3 years
- Certification file extensions available in varying formats
If the user needs to go back and view the last time a calibration was done on a piece of equipment, they can search by the product and find detailed information about that piece of equipment including when it was last serviced, who it was serviced by, the certification document, and more. This is also where the customer can select department and location names tailored to their processes.
How do I Receive My Login Information?
All current PMC Calibration portal users should have received their username and password along with a video tutorial that explains how the revamped calibration portal functions. Why is Equipment Calibration Important?
Over time, equipment will degrade and start drifting as cumulative usage increases and environmental conditions change. The degradation of equipment may not be noticeable during normal operation but could have severe consequences including systems failure, machine malfunction, injury or fatality. That’s why it’s critical to have your equipment calibrated on a regular basis by an ISO 17025 accredited entity.
A certificate of calibration from an ISO 17025 accredited entity ensures that your equipment is functioning safely and that it meets manufacturer specifications – an important part of workplace safety and quality assurance. Calibration is often required on test and instrument equipment. The new calibration portal makes it easy to search and download your equipment calibration certificates for up to three years from the time the calibration was performed.
